About Me

Hello! I’m Evangelia, a CBT Therapist originally from Greece, now based in Edinburgh.

My journey into therapy began in my teenage years, driven by a desire to understand myself better, build resilience, and form relationships rooted in respect, autonomy, and compassion. This personal exploration led me to study Psychology, first in Athens, and later in Scotland, where I completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Napier University, followed by an MSc in Children and Young People’s Mental Health at the University of Edinburgh.

My interest in evidence-based and practical approaches led me to complete a Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork (CBT approach) in 2019. During my placement, I provided one-to-one therapy for individuals struggling with anxiety and low mood and co-facilitated psychoeducational workshops on depression and challenging negative thinking at various mental health organisations in Edinburgh.

Since then, I’ve been working in private practice, supporting adults with a range of issues including anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. My approach is warm, collaborative, and compassionate, offering a safe and confidential space to explore what’s bringing you to therapy and how we can support meaningful change.

I’m deeply committed to ongoing professional and personal development. I’ve completed additional training in Trauma-Focused Therapy and currently attending a training in Transactional Analysis, which help me better understand my clients’ experiences and offer tools to support emotional healing and insight. I am particularly interested in exploring self confidence issues and negative thinking patterns alongside feelings of not belonging.

For me, therapy is a space of connection, reflection, and transformation. I feel honoured to walk alongside each of my clients in their journey toward greater self-awareness, growth, and wellbeing.

If you’d like to learn more or feel we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
