First Session

You might have never contacted a therapist before or you might already have experiences of previous counselling in a variety of settings. Whatever is your experience, making a first contact with a therapist can be hard and I respect the courage it takes to make this first step.

A good therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client is crucial for the successful outcome of therapy. For that reason  the first meeting will be in a reduced fee (£35) and aims to explore if you feel comfortable working together, as well as if I feel I can support you in achieving your goal.

The first meeting is an assessment session where we:

  • Talk about the issues that brought you to therapy

  • Discuss your expectations and agree your goals from therapy

  • Talk bout how we can work together

  • Address any concerns or questions you have
